Purchaser / Project Coordinator
Objective
The Purchaser/Project Coordinator position is a key role in our project management process. Key responsibilities include making sure the required parts and materials are ordered correctly, received accurately, and are ready to go to site when required.
What You’ll Do
Core duties include:
Purchasing
· Use of Quickbooks considered a significant asset – or experience with any accounting/bookkeeping system
· Entering, tracking and receiving materials for various large and small projects
· Speaking with suppliers to coordinate delivery dates with project start-up dates
· Track shipments, and plan drop shipments as required
· Assist with the unloading of trucks and proper filing of parts and materials
· Over seeing the receiving process, tracking back orders, and communicating same to project managers
· Tracking and maintaining parts and materials inventory levels
Project Coordinating
· Work with Project Managers to ensure that all materials have arrived and been properly received prior to project start-up
· Gather materials and supplies to make the installers jobs easier
· Monitor supply levels and re-order as required
· Other duties as they come up. We’re a relatively small shop so everyone pitches in for everything from time to time
Core duties as mentioned are a must have. We realize that not everyone has commercial glazing experience – but if you do, that’s a bonus!! As long as you’re ready to learn, are a self starter, and can make intuitive decisions, there may be an opportunity for you to grow with us!
